Corry Rails - Return to Alaska 2021

  • Bob
WELCOME to "Rescue Team 313" and hello to all friends and fans of Corry RAILS, Climax, and Geared & Articulated Steam Locomotives.

It has been over a year since the A-313 Rescue Team traveled to Palmer, Alaska to pick up parts for their locomotive. The parts were returned safely to Corry, PA back in October of last year. This past August, Carl Wassink and Norm Thomas returned to Alaska to re-trace the roots of the A-313 Locomotive. They traveled to Council, Alaska where the train ran along the Wild Goose Railroad back in 1902. The locals of Nome were interviewed that are connected to the locomotive and their memories of it. The front plate of the train was retrieved, and returned to Corry, PA where it will be set on the restored locomotive. Come along on this adventure with us to Alaska!
